Such love for the group dynamics and the music. I always love hearing about career-type things, I mean like the way you describe each of the singers in terms of their career in this scenario. Once we get that they can try to manipulate or help each other, we see how they work together, what they want for themselves, how they relate to what they do--everything like that. We even get a nice little almost-villain in Kat throwing herself at Chris. That in itself becomes like another aspect of the show business stuff.
Oh, the match box. "What'd I miss?" Heh! The whole world changed while you were gone, honey! The excitement of figuring out this possibilty when earlier it really was possible that Chris was put off by forward women as not his type or maybe was suspicious.
And I almost forgot to mention the Elliot bit--so fabulous the way Kat doesn't trust anybody who praises her too much and goes for the most powerful person in the room...who is just never ever going to be Elliot. I didn't even need anything romantic in this chapter--I was fascinated by all the stuff going on besides that. The romance was just cake.
