What, about Ryan Seacrest's lack of acting ability? :)) The few times I've seen him on tv, he's struck me as rather smarmy and fake, which is not the same thing at all as acting. Unless he's *trying* to act like that, in which case I think he has bigger problems. :D
Dude, so totally real. In this piece specifically, Simon was very real during the sex. Like, real enough that it got the bad image out of my head, because my brain was like "okay, yeah. They've finally done it for real, and now we* can be at peace." The one thing that stands out in my mind (well, two, actually) for realness is the putting on and taking off of the condom. I mean, that act alone makes it "real" in the sense of this is going on today and safety is a good thing, but also real in the way it is played out, as if this is very much ordinary and expected and comfortable. I don't think I'm explaining it very well. :)) Oh, and you know, make that three things - the lack of kissing during the fucking struck me as very real too, in the sense of "I'm not gay this is just fucking so no kissing while fucking because that would cross the line", because we all know that fucking is about bodies, but kissing is about emotions. And now that I'm thinking about it, four things. The lights being on during everything. Though I think that probably speaks more to the comfort level of them than anything, but so often in fic the sex takes place in the dark of night or in a shadowy room, and you know, real people do have sex with the lights on.

I think I'm done rambling now. :D
