Last night Simon's E!THS was on and at the end all the shots were of Ryan and Simon together while Simon talked about how motivated he is by competition. It was weird: shots of Simon and Terri, then Simon and Ryan and Terri, and then just Simon and Ryan. That THS was done before Ryan essentially owned half of E!, so it makes you wonder what they were trying to imply. But I find it hilarious that he feels so competitive with Ryan when really, as successful as Ryan is, he isn't really in Simon's league as far as behind the scenes success—and really, he has some time to catch up! So that Simon was so focussed on Ryan so early is so … weird. Which is why I see their relationship, whatever it is, as immediate and overwhelming and resistance-is-futile-you-will-assimilate.

With the short attention span of LJ, late reviews are love, though I wouldn't call this late! And thank you so much; getting the voices right is 98% of fic, IMO, so your comments fill me with glee!
